The podcast I subscribed to was a little different than the other podcasts I viewed. The one I subscribed to was to show parents what their child is doing all day. It was cute, and it showed the children singing songs, and doing finger plays. I learned, by watching this, that podcasts can be used for anything, and they are a great way to keep parents in the loop with what is going on in their child's classroom.
The community I teach in, is low-income. Very few parents have internet, or a computer for that matter. Having a podcast for my classroom does not seem to be practical. If I ever leave this district, and go somewhere, where more parents use the internet, then maybe I would be interested in having a podcast.
I was very surprised with the amount of resources that were available via podcast.
